Key West Cruises

Just like Miami, Key West also has a thriving art scene. Nowhere is it more apparent than the Studios of Key West. The Studios are a nonprofit organization and it has a dozen studios. There is a lot to appreciate here. You can roam around a beautiful sculpture garden. Visual arts displays are often held for the public. Other arts activities such as literary workshops and readings are also held from time to time. Hemingway House, Key West

Harry Truman isn't the only famous person to have stayed at Key West. The American literary genius Ernest Hemingway also lived and worked at Key West. The Spanish Colonial house he brought in 1931 still stands. He lived in the home till 1940. The house serves as a museum to his life and works now. Hemingway wrote some of his most famous novels here such as "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "A Farewell to Arms". The home also contains a tropical garden that Hemingway maintained. There is also a saltwater pool which Hemingway claimed that nearly pushed him into bankruptcy. His so-called 'last penny' can still be seen pressed into the pool's concrete. Hemingway was also known for his housecat called Snow White which had six toes. He raised that cat lovingly. The descendants of those housecats can still be found on the property. Travel From Miami To Key West

While you may be visiting Miami for the beaches, there are many other sides to this glamourous city. The artistic landscape of Miami is filled with talented artists. One of the best places to witness the local art is at Wynwood Walls. Situated amidst grey concrete buildings and rusted warehouses, Wynwood Walls are like an explosion of color. There is an incredible collection of paintings and murals displayed all over the open courtyard. It is easy to get overwhelmed with the incredible variety of colors on display and the rather unexpected location in which it can be found. The arts on display tend to change with every major art event. Nonetheless, you will certainly find some amazing and interesting pieces no matter when you visit. Venetian Pool, Miami
